BBQ Pineapple Chick’n Sliders

Fire up the grill! This party is getting started. Warm Tofurky BBQ Chick’n in a cast iron skillet on the grill while charring those pineapple slices. Toast slider buns then fill with the Chick’n, a hefty scoop of sesame slaw (see the recipe), and grilled pineapple. We highly recommend enjoying each bite with a cold, frosty glass of beer.

Makes 6 servings

what you’ll need:

1 can pineapple slices, drained
2 teaspoons preferred vegetable oil
1 half red cabbage, thinly shredded
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon agave syrup
½ teaspoon sea salt
4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
1 package Tofurky BBQ Chick’n
12 slider buns

how to make:

1. Warm grill (or indoor grill pan) over medium heat.

2. Place 12 pineapple slices on paper towels, then brush each side with oil. Place
pineapple slices on the grill, and cook 2-3 minutes on each side until warmed through
and lightly charred.

3. In a large bowl, toss cabbage with vinegar, sesame oil, agave, and salt. Add green
onion and sesame seeds, and toss to combine.

4. Warm chick’n according to package directions.

5. Top the bottom slider buns with chick’n followed by grilled pineapple and slaw. Place
the top buns on sliders, and serve.
