Yuzu Glazed Roast

We infused our roast with a glaze of orange marmalade and yuzu juice (available at major grocers) that is basted on throughout the baking process then finished with a sprinkling of black sesame seeds (for a little drama!). Our taste reco is to serve this trend-worthy, aromatic roast alongside rice and edamame seasoned with furikake. Makes 6 servings

what you’ll need:

1 Tofurky Holiday Roast
¼ cup orange marmalade
2 tablespoons yuzu juice
1 tablespoon white miso paste
1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds

how to make:

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Place roast on a lined roasting pan and cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes.
  3. While the roast is in the oven, place marmalad, yuzu juice, miso paste and soy sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Without removing the roast from the oven, carefully remove foil and baste with yuzu glaze. Return to the oven, uncovered, and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Baste a second time and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Return to the oven and bake for a final 15 minutes.
  6. Slice and serve roast with any remaining glaze and sushi rice.
