Big Ol’ Italian Grinder

Is it a grinder or a sub? Maybe it’s a hoagie. Whatever you call it, it’s what dreams are made of. Start with a large roll, a generous spread of vegan mayo, and a pile of Tofurky Smoked Hickory and Italian Deli Slices. Top it off with sliced ripe tomatoes, pickled cherry peppers, a massive pile of shredduce (that’s shredded iceberg lettuce in grinder speak), and a good splash of Italian dressing.

Makes 4 servings

what you’ll need:

4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
1 package Tofurky Smoked Hickory Deli Slices
1 package Tofurky Italian Deli Slices
1 ½ cups shredded iceberg lettuce
2 large tomatoes, sliced
½ cup cherry peppers, from a jar, sliced
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

how to make:

1. Place rolls on a clean work surface.

2. Layer rolls with Hickory Smoked and Italian Deli Slices followed by lettuce, tomatoes,
and peppers.

3. Drizzle each hoagie with olive oil and vinegar then sprinkle with oregano, salt and
pepper.
