Buffalo Quinoa Burger

Try a crunchy, spicy quinoa burger with all the mouthwatering flavors of Buffalo wings, but in a backyard barbecue-worthy vegan package. Serve with plenty of extra hot sauce and blue cheese dressing, and pass celery stalks on the side to soothe the delicious burn.

what you’ll need:

1 romaine heart, chopped
1 cucumber, halved lengthwise and sliced into half moons
2 celery stalks, chopped
¼ cup Buffalo-style hot sauce
¼ cup vegan blue cheese or caesar dressing (such as Follow Your Heart), plus more for serving
1 package Tofurky White Quinoa Veggie Burgers
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 onion hamburger buns, toasted
⅓ cup vegan cheese crumbles

how to make:

  1. In a medium bowl toss together romaine, cucumber, celery, hot sauce, and dressing. Set aside.
  2. Prepare a hot grill fire or heat a skillet over medium heat. Brush burgers with oil and grill or cook, flipping once, until browned on both sides.
  3. Place burgers on buns and top with romaine salad, cheese crumbles, and blue cheese dressing.
