Deep Fried Tofurky
· Thaw Tofurky according to package instructions
· Bake roast with marinade or spices for 1 hour at 300 degrees
covered or wrapped in foil
· Remove from oven and let stand for 1-2 minutes
· Slowly drop into deep fryer to avoid grease from splattering
· Deep fry in Peanut Oil at 375 degrees for 4-5 minutes or
until a golden brown
· Remove from fryer and drain on paper towels
· Product will be very hot! Please use caution when slicing.

cause severe burns and even fires when improperly used. So

I seasoned it with paprika, garlic, salt and pepper,
then deep fried it for about 10 minutes, until it had a rich
red color.
"I tried it this season, and it was really
good! The outer layer was nice and crispy, and the inside was
nice and warm too. If I were to do it again, I think I'd put it in the oven in low heat first,
to get the inside hot, but this is largely to keep its heat
until everything else
is ready to eat! |
