French Dip Sandwich
A juicy, tasty sandwich.
6 slices - Tofurky Roast Beef
1 oz - Cheese or vegan cheese of choice
1 ea - Bread baguette, cut into 6 inch piece
1 C - Water
Vegan beef or vegetable bouillon
2T - Cold water
1T - Cornstarch
1T - Dry Sherry, optional
Bring water to boil, reduce heat to a simmer. Add vegan beef or vegetable bouillon according to package instructions. Let the broth reduce slightly to intensify flavor. Add dry sherry. Dissolve the cornstarch in cold water.
Pour cornstarch mixture in broth, stirring well to thicken. Place cheese on bread. Place slices of Tofurky Roast Beef in broth and let stand for one minute. Transfer beef to bread. Serve sandwich with some of the broth on the side.
